Located in Louisa, VA, Emau Egyptian Maus specializes in breeding brilliant clean silvers and ghostly smokes of the rare and precious Egyptian Mau breed. Our program consistently produces high-quality cats, with numerous Grand Champion Regional and National winning cats, including a remarkable 6 of the top 15 highest scoring Egyptian Maus of all time. We are proud of having owned or bred 10 of the 20 female Distinguished Merit Egyptian Maus and the only male Distinguished Merit cat with multigenerational heritage. Our focus is on preserving and responsibly enhancing the breed through a meticulous breeding program that prioritizes health, temperament, and appearance, achieved through crosses between traditional and imported lines. Kittens are available by reservation, with a health guarantee and all pet kittens are altered before placement. While most kittens find homes long-distance, we do not ship them and require creative solutions for transportation. Active in various organizations like the CFA Egyptian Mau Breed Council, GEMS CFA breed Club, and the International Egyptian Mau Society, we are dedicated to mentoring new enthusiasts and promoting this elegant breed through shows.
